Usually when I'm sick, I crave spicy Cheetos and a Slurpee from 7/11. Instead of caving, I told myself it would just make things worse. And it would. If my body is already fighting, feeding it comfort food would just delay me getting better (food for thought the next time you're sick). So, my meal today was: egg whites with cayenne pepper and mashed sweet potato with coconut oil; Shakeology (technically not Whole30 approved because of the whey and stevia, but I'm NOT giving that up); some almonds and sunflower seeds; spinach sliders and carrots. Not too shabby huh? AND, to make me sound like a superhero here (ha!), my husband decided to eat pizza in front of me for dinner and it DIDN'T EVEN LOOK/SOUND/SMELL GOOD! Whoo hoo! I'd call that progress. :) Stay tuned for the next few days and pray you don't read about a girl who murdered for carbs.
